
26 Aug Sample the Sierra 9/4: “Farm-to-Fork” Catering in Lake Tahoe!
So far here in Reno and Lake Tahoe, we’ve felt pretty warmly welcomed. The food-focused community on both sides of the mountains has been super enthusiastic about our creative menus and dedication to fresh, seasonal and (whenever possible) locally sourced ingredients.
That’s why it’s such an honor to be the featured chefs showing off our region’s edible awesomeness at a Sample the Sierra pop-up dinner, one of a series of local-centric Sierra Nevada food celebrations!
Sample the Sierra calls itself a “cooperative effort to increase awareness of the region’s bounty, heritage, culture and activities through events featuring tastings from the Sierra Nevada’s best chefs and restaurants–all created with local produce, and paired with tastings from local wineries and breweries.”

On Friday, September 4, we get to whip up a 4-course meal (well, 5 if you count the location … ) consisting of Nevada-grown ingredients paired with delicious local wines. Dinner starts at 6 pm at the picturesque Lake Tahoe Golf Course.
We are SO excited to be recognized by this community, and by the creators of this event series. (They even called us “celebrity chefs!”)

FIRST COURSE
Heirloom tomato, whipped burrata, peach, cucumber, tomato water, sumac
SECOND COURSE
King salmon, yellow coconut curry, slow cooked carrot, eggplant, malted barley, kefir lime, crispy shallot
THIRD COURSE
Short ribs, crispy sunchoke, grits, raw milk cheddar, watercress, smoked cherry jus
FOURTH COURSE
Sweet corn cake, crème fraiche ice cream, salted caramel, huckleberry jam, meringue
