Are you dreaming of a summer alfresco celebration? Then you’ll fall head over heels with Ben and Alyce’s wedding at Dancing Pines!
The couple met in law school in 2011, and those who know them describe them as having “an infectious love for one another” where one can see they are not only partners but also best friends. “They both are genuine, compassionate people who cherish their relationships with others. Their day was more than just becoming husband and wife. It was about having their friends and family be part of the celebration and experience it with them. That was the energy that filled the day – warm, inclusive, and genuine,” Dancing Pines owner Liz Mettler said.
Alyce arrived early and spent time with her bridesmaids at the tent cabin, getting dressed, sipping champagne, and getting final touch-ups done by Love Is In The Hair. The weather played along perfectly, making the tall pines of the Sierra high country the ideal backdrop for this alfresco celebration. In addition, one of the couple’s closest friends officiated the ceremony, adding a personal touch to their special day.
This wedding is truly a minimalist’s dream, with its timeless floral installation by Love & Lupines, flowing greenery down the tables and pillar candles spread throughout. Guests kicked off cocktail hour with a beautiful sunset and custom craft cocktails. Then, like always, Blend Catering wowed everyone with a dinner menu to remember. Dinner was followed by a few emotional toasts, the couple’s first dance, and a private cake cutting. And thanks to photographer Holly Shankland, we can relive every picture-perfect moment!
